With spring just around the corner, Reverb hangs up the raincoat, reaches for the Birks and leans into the sunny patch between the clouds. A crisp Cali IPA — light gold, bright clarity, malt kept well in the background. New US hop Dolcita and even-newer Kiwi Manilita do the big work: pine needle and sweet pineapple on the nose, a resinous wave of gummy fruit lolly and piña colada through the middle, then grapefruit skin and a sharp, clean bitter finish.
